Repotting - Branch View

I have a tree that’s ready to go from a nursery pot into a bonsai pot.

My question relates to potting it and the “front” view.

Should the back branch (the actual branch leaving the trunk) be visible from the front?

Or, should you only see the secondary and tertiary branches of the back branch?

This is not important, foliage to the rear will add depth. Where the branch emerges might be obvious or there may be some degree of mystery. Choose the front by considering
Roots
Basal flare
Angle of the trunk emerging from the soil
Branch structure
Trunk movement
Interesting imperfections (scars or shari)

Do not be afraid to leave some things to the imagination
