Doing nice

Leave for another year, then chop the current leader back to get back budding to use a new leader to grow on again

Man, who did the tile job for you? It's terible! Oops wrong comment. The crabapple looks great. Yep, let it grow then chop back and keep repeating the process till ... Damn, Jamie will say I steal his line :)

The new low branch has funny looking leaves. Is it on a graft rootstock?

nah, but partially it is the angle of the photo. i think when the photo was taken she's a bit thirsty...


also had to kill off a green caterpillar last night. the damage was starting but i found it in time.
