Re: Please Help Me Identify My Bonsai
This spruce looks very similar to an unidentified spruce of mine, after a bit of googling I also came to the conclusion it was a Picea glauca 'Albertiana conica'. Though they all kinda' look the same to me.

Re: Please Help Me Identify My Bonsai
Hi ya Jenn. Lets call it a spruce and that makes it easy and a dwarf variety at that. They respond well to finger pruning the new growth. It also does not like being harshly pruned so go slowly with your design. At this time of year feed it every 3 weeks to a month and watering daily. They do well in full sun or dappled shade. They also respond well to wiring and set into place quite well. That should keep it alive and thriving at least

Re: Please Help Me Identify My Bonsai
Hi Jenn, if the colour of the ground cover on the soil surface and the shrinkage of the soil around the pots edge are anything to go by, your Spruce could possibly use a drink.
Cheers

Re: Please Help Me Identify My Bonsai
Thank you, I will water daily and re the feeding is there anything in particular I should be using? Many thanks, also I have noted of late that my bonsai has a lot of brown needling, would this be a sign of it drying out? thank you again everyone, you have all been so great!!

brown needles would be a sign of old or dead needles and/or a possible problem, most likely the watering that got pointed out to you, keep the soil moist but not soaking wet, re- feeding any good fert will do, im not super positive but i think i remember pup saying they dont like high nitrogen ferts? (it could of been juniper though).
i would look at the miracle gro for a fert, it has been good for me and it has trace elements aswell
