Turning it into a Bonsai - Gum Tree

Post by RevoEvoS »

Got a Eucalyptus Tree where my house is located and I was cleaning the gutter out, just so happens to find out that a gum nut turned into a seedling starter due to the constant rain and degraded bark/leaves from the tree which caused it to grow.
Will a Eucalyptus tree be any good for a bonsai tree in general?

It is possible. It depends on the type of species of Eucalyptus and how you treat it. But in theory yes.
Patience is often a surprise.

Eucs generally grow very quickly so you might want to plant it into a pot a few sizes larger than normal for the size of the plant. This way you can place a flat surface under the roots to promote a radial root system as well as let it grow relatively large in a short period of time.
