Help with Ficus'

Hey all,
I'm new around here and to the bonsai hobby.
I've always loved bonsai however only recently been in a position financially, residentially and of maturity to start to get into it. I've got a few little trees, junipers and I dug out a couple of bougainvillea the other day and have replanted the stumps. hopefully they turn into something promising, if i've done it correctly.

I love figs, so i want to get some big old ones, I found a couple for sale off a lady that was moving. one is circa 1980 plaited trunk which I bought because it was older, not a big fan of how it looks. the other is root over rock from 1998 which also isn't very aesthetically pleasing.

Just wondering if anyone can see any potential or has any ideas about them
