Re: Native inspiration
Hi FF!
Lovely pic of the lepto.
Do you know if it is a dead branch or a root coming off on the low right side?
Also, I'm just putting together the next newsletter for the Aust Plants as Bonsai Study Group and was wondering if I could use the pic? If yes, how should I list the photographer, as Fossil Finder?

Re: Native inspiration
I'm pretty sure it is a root Roger that the gravels had been eroded away from.
Thanks to for your feedback and yes you are welcome to use my picture crediting fossilfinder. When I see trees like this I'm reminded that the whole point of bonsai was to appreciate nature not degrade it. Somewhere along the timeline peope got greedy and nature was and is degraded.

Re: Native inspiration
That is a stunning picture. In my opinion, the only way that picture can be improved, would be to have the entire area of the foliage of the tree included in the picture, other than that, a small gripe.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

Hi Rory
The whole of the tree is there in image but you may need to click on it to open the shot fully
