Melaleuca Nodosa ID?

Post by Rory »

I was after some experienced advice please... I purchased 10 seedlings of Melaleuca Nodosa over a year ago from the Cumberland State Forest Nursery in Dural, which is where a lot of the members here purchase from, and I have been growing with no problems at all. However, looking at other pictures of Mel. Nodosa, they look nothing like what I have purchased. Each seedling came with its tag of 'Melaleuca Nodosa', and up until now I have never grown them before, but I am starting to wonder if they are in fact a different melaleuca and were badly labelled. Do they look like this when they are young?... as I have had experience with other Mels, but not with Nodosa, or so what I thought that this was Nodosa up until now. I will have to double check, but they are not prickly nor does it hurt to run your hand along them.

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.
