melaleuca linariifolia -slant

Post by morrie »

I think i have the species right

just a few years old but i'm struggling to get it to look right :lost:
two areas of advice- the foliage pad looks contrived and unnatural - i'm thinking of training the first branch back over the trunk

second; the base of the truck is quite thin, is sort of works, i do see a lot of these trees about in nature with not much taper, - is there anyway of getting sacrificial branches to grow on these?
any other advice would be welcome
cheers

It'll power away if you can plant it in the ground for a year or two. Otherwise put it into a bigger pot for a couple of years, with plenty of food, water and sunlight. It's a waiting game no matter what you do, but you'll get faster results if the plant has room to grow quickly.

Good luck
