I haven't updated this tree since the end of the 3 year time capsule competition, but I did some work on it today and so I thought I would start a thread to continue documenting its progression moving forward. Below is a link of how it got to where it got to in the 3 years of the competition (which finished in Jan 2023)

And after letting it grow on over winter and early spring I decided to bite the bullet and get started on the deadwood I had planned whilst I was getting the rest of it back under control after giving it a rest from work over the last 6+ months or so. I will continue to refine the jins and am a bit torn about jinning that whole left branch (which was the initial intent) or leaving a bit to grow ... as I have left it for now. I might see how the rest looks after it has settled in and then revisit.

Love the jins there. That deadwood really adds a lot to this design.
