Here is a pic of the reputed tallest redwood dubbed "The President"

Brian, that's the 'President' giant sequoia: (not a coast redwood...they are a different, albeit closely related species ). From memory, I think that particular tree is the second largest sequoia after 'General Sherman', and thus constitutes the second largest tree on the planet. Quite a stick !

Hello Aquaman. I know this is an old thread and I'm bumping it but I am really curious how this seedlings have got on. Do you have any updates? Photos maybe? :D

Hi there, I too am interested in how the sequoia's are going. I've been trying to find seedlings to buy in aus but so far no luck. Perhaps I'll give the seeds a try myself.

can i just say i am so wrappppped for you i have tried top grow them twice from seeds with no luck same as the dawn redwood i cant work out what im doing wrong very interested in regularupdate pics on these
I like gardening - it's a place where I find myself when I need to lose myself.
