Well these appeared on the horizon this morning , actually i spotted them in a front yard and as with all thing Bonsai i ask permission to remove a couple of trunks . Bugger me all the hard work was done so i thought . These looked quite small from the road so a quick round up of some serious labour and lets go hunting . With 3 men on board ,there was no way we could lift these mothers so the history of the Pyramids came into play . We used a hand trolley to move them and tried to slide them up ramps to get the buggers in the ute , a kind chap passing by saw our dilemma and jump in to help heave the big olive in . At around 400kg its not for the faint hearted , i will get the chainsaw out and lighten the load . . I collected a couple of good olives this one has a 600 x600 mm after i cut the lower section off , yes that's a full size basket ball right there this has a 800mm x400mm base after i cut the bulk of the buried sections off , definitely worthy of a topic "Monster olive versus Alpinearts Stihl" .There was a couple of Citrus and Oleanders which i didn't bother with a Crepe myrtle , a Callistermon and 2 unknown trunks at this stage .The taller of the 2 has a pink or red flower according to the owner . It has some shoots high up so it won't be long before its identified .The 5 trunk clump has exfoliating bark which has me stumped , looks like a crepe Myrtle underneath but i have doubts as i have never seen this type of bark on a Myrtle , only time will tell . . Now being a man of leisure as Bougy Fan says , i think these just might top those big junipers as far as size goes , actually it makes them look like bonsai . I knew there was a reason to move those Juni's into boxes , i needed the scoria beds for bigger things .

You could have just turned your back and pretended that you had not seen them Alpine, but I guess seeing that they were already out of the ground, you couldn't resist. Great find mate. How long had they been lifted for and what are their chances of survival.

Hi Guys , they are too good to turn a blind eye too.Out of the ground was a bonus come begging .A quick wash off of the soil so i could see where to cut Managed to lighten them up a bit and throw them into the scoria beds . I cant lift the 2 big ones 2 of us tried but the smaller single trunk i can get about 6 inches off the ground

Hi Scott , no more olives , no need to dig those little ones now , these will keep me occupied for a while thats for sure .Won't have to wait to thicken the trunks
