Well 1 trunk is definitely dead as a dodo the other has plenty to work with .Because of the weight of this bugger i might hack it down to size and make a Mt Shank type crater near Mt Gambier but with water in it . Who know's anything can happen between now and then .

Hi Dario , mate i can't lift it so i think it will be cut down to below the fork then hollowed out like a lake and have the tree's growing around the base . At 800mmin diameter the base will require a big tray as well .

Hi Squizz . mate i'm mobile but not quite 100% and probably never will be , firing on 4 cylinders and when your an old V8 its a slow and steady pace i'm not comfortable with , its been a long haul and still going on . Thank God those Trident are done and the rest are in the grow beds as well . I had some big losses over the last season but it has lightened the work load for this year .

Need to make a nice seat out of that stump i sit down and contemplate the future .

Its a 'warning' stump to your other trees, comply with bonsai or end up as furniture.

Needed a little bit of time out from fencing and gardening so i hooked into this trunk as simple as 1-2-3 to get it to the right height i wanted .Who needs a few cuttings , no good throwing them out .

A quick carve of the top remove it from the scoria bed and it off to the hose to wash away the oil from the chainsaw , dish washing liquid does the job in a watering can then hose off the remaining soil to sort the roots out .

A quick trim and its back into another scoria bed in a more sunny position . This will get a defoliation and wire as soon as i can find the time . Not the final finished item , i may just cut it down again in height as it still weighs 30kg plus and there is plenty of room and scattered foliage to make 2 good mini mountains /volcano's .

With the new stock arriving yesterday i had to make a choice and it was finish the S.A Mt Gambier piece of my State generated collection .with the Sthil and the die grinder it was a 2 hour crash diet of about 15 kgs , into the custom made tray and It's as good as it get for now , just need some growth and a constant trim to refine the tree line .

Might need to get myself a couple of olives. It's obviously hard to kill them, even with a chainsaw...

Hi Drac0, mate you can kill them with a chainsaw very quickly as the chain is lubricated with oil and plants don't seem to like oil much . Always use them with the up most respect , been swinging one for quite a few decades and when they bite you don't get a second chance .

This got dragged out cleaned up and trimmed along with its Siamese twin "Mt Alpineart ". This will be wired then come winter the both monsters will be root pruned and re-potted .
