Pinus Seed

Post by Webos »

Hi Guys,
I've read somewhere that to check for "dead" pine seed, stick them in a glass of water...and if they float they are either dead or alive...but which one was it?? Floating is dead? Floating is alive??

Thanks everyone

I always soak for 24 hours and use warm water to start with I guess it replicates a warm spring rain. Any that are left floating are apparently infertile.
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
