Post by Petra »

Hi guys, when is the time to dig up a grape vine. Also is it a good time to airlayer grape or wisteria vines.

I think you can almost put all deciduous in the same catagorie Petra. About now is the best time to transplant and airlayer. If you are able, look for swelling in the buds for the optimum time but as long as you get in before they are in leaf it should be fine.
Good luck
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Yeah , I'd dig now. And feel secure in the knowledge that you'd be doing the wine industry a service, there's too many of them!
I really do wish they'd hurry up and grow.
