Olive dig.. thanks to the local Farmer!
Heres what we pulled out today! Took me an hour to dig around it.. the farmer saw me and then offerd to dig it out.. what I did in an hour took him about 3 minutes with the big arse back hoe.!
Welcome to Mega bonai! You cant tell from the photo but it has some ok trunk movement ...it was the smallest in the farm yard..most were from the 1840s and HUGE!
I am also digging out about 15 smaller olive trees (in comparison)tomorrow.. happy to consider swapping for other stock trees if anyone is interested. See photos attached..(VIC only).. will put in sawp thread if anyone is interested...

Your gonna need a bigger pot Time to have a few children so they can carry it for you later on. Lovely stump and look forward to its development.

Great stock, and you are very fortunate to be able to get assistance to dig such large stock. You have certainly returned with a bang!

Re: Olive dig.. thanks to the local Farmer!
Most of these olives will be grown for carving practice.. I am thinking of getting some carving lessons to help out.. LOVE carving trees and making them look another 50 years older!... I have promised to return one to the farmer in a few years time to say thanks..I'm hoping the bigger monster will fit in my newly acquired HUGE pot from the Waverly Bonsai show..if not I will be on the hunt for a new HUGE pot.. it looks great .. I will post more pics soon.
BTW..On the way home I was offered a huge farm full of Hawthorns that have been grazed on by cattle...some really nice stock trees in there. photos to follow when I can get them transferred to the computer on a different thread.

Well done massive tree. Just my style. 300 buck pot needed for that monster.
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.
