Hawthorn Offer by Farmer
On the way home from another Yamadori dig I met a Farmer who offered his farm hawthorns that had been grazed on by his cattle for the last 10 years or so.. The photos don't really do them justice, but I will probably go out in the next few weeks to trim the trees that I want for future removal. The photos were taken on the run since it was bucketing down with rain and quite late in the day! There are a good 400 or so trees to choose from..plus possibly a full hedge that has been constantly trimmed through the years.

Wow that's awesome
A stick in a pot is better than no stick at all. Remember even the best bonsai started as a stick.
