Hey guys,

Any body know if its too late to plant trident maple seeds in Canberra? Life's been busy and i realised i haven't planted any of my trident seeds yet.

My bet is get them in right now. I still have a few late starters just poking their heads up (trident maples that is)

Keep us updated on germination rates Keels. I believe that fresh seed will germinate without stratification but have not actually sowed this late to see how it goes.
You could try freezing some of the seed for a couple of weeks to see if that makes a difference. I understand that stratification works best when the seed is damp so you may need to soak them for a day before freezing.

Ive planted a tray of seeds on Sunday just gone, 28th OCT 2018. See how i go. I planted about 40 seeds. Ill keep you updated with the success rate.
