Hi, just wondering what time of year is best for grafting japanese maples in Melbourne, understanding Spring but wasn't sure if you can in winter?

I've grafted Japanese maples at the same time as most other dormant grafts. There's a fairly wide window off opportunity. Any time from a month or so before buds opening through to a little after buds opening. Now should be OK in Melb.
