im not sure bout that mate, i dont see why it wouldnt work though, aslong as the roots make contact with the tree and can supply nutrients i dont see why not, it would be like a graft where you put a channel into the tree then place the root into it. i cant think of the type of graft it is called.

i can see it working though i cant see why it wouldnt thats for sure.

No not involved in a club at the moment. Would love to chat to someone in person about Bonsai. Can't really tell you about aerial roots - I did notice my little ruby has some but they have grown naturally
