Photo trip report

Post by 63pmp »

I went for a walk a few months ago looking for some potential bonsai. Luckily for me there is some pretty rough country about where I live.

This certainly looks like the kind of place you'd expect to find some trees, certainly there are plenty of big ones.

Hey bird! Have you seen any yamadori?

Go and ask the lizard! What do I look like, someone who cares?

Hey lizard! You seen any yamadori around here?

Dude!!!! Go and check the cliffline.

Now that looks promising, maybe the lizard was right.

A closer look perhaps?

Yep! The lizard knows his stuff. Shame this place is a National Park.

Not bad, the lizard knows his stuff alright. Nice ol trunks there, they really are like pines in a way.

Good luck with it, and dont forget to get permission!

If you do manage to collect, maybe we can do some trades, old olives for old natives, although it will be 5 olives per one of those :)

Great stuff. My last trip like that I dragged the family up the top of a mountain and terrain that looked similar only to find some ripper trees back were we started

It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.
