RIP Richard Salvado

Post by treeman »

I'm sure I speak for everyone at the Bonsai Society of Victoria when I say Richard will be sadly missed.
Deep condolences to his family and close friends. Richard was a true gentleman and a very generous man. Something which I personally experienced many times.
For example, he gifted me his one and only plant of Chojubai Quince from which all others in the country come.
Rest In Peace Richard.

I agree, Richard was a very generous man with his knowledge and his plants.
He had demonstrated a number of times that I had seen from the 90's thru to just a couple of years ago at Bonsai Northwest promoting his minis and encouraging people to have a go.
I think he was a key person in the Bonsai community while it was growing in the 80's and 90's.

I was also lucking enough recently to buy and also receive as gifts some minis of Richard's that are important pieces in my collection.

My condolences to the Salvado Family.

Barry
