Hello,
I have a bouganvillea stump which I wish to get rid of (incorrect place in garden) it is a from a medium sized healthy magenta bract bouganvillea (1 other on site which can be viewed). As an avid gardener I hate to see any healthy plant go to waste and think this plant could very well be trained in large scale bonsai by the correct person. It currently has a stump with a few thick branches - all have been cut back. I thought it maybe worth offering before we take to it with a chainsaw! It would need to be dug out of its positioning. I am located in south Adelaide - hopefully the picture attachment has worked!

It looks like there could be a couple of trees in there. A very nice gesture and thanks for thinking of the Bonsai community Kel Not worthwhile to me but hopefully somebody takes an interest.

Ooooohhhhh! Are you going to dig it out too or is that for the lucky person? I am interested but overseas and don’t come home until end of June. When do you need it gone by? What part of SA are you in?

Beano - someone from a local Bonsai club has just come to dig it out this evening. The roots were quite large I must say I'm glad it was he who did rather then myself did only take him an hour or so though! I do have another identical bouganvillea which was planted at the same time however not as yet hard pruned. I am considering also removing this - just deciding on whether to keep in our landscape. I will keep you posted as soon as we have decided. Im located in the southern suburbs of South Australia.

I’ll keep an ear out. To be honest that first one looked possible like too big a challenge for me! I’d have no idea how to carve it to make it look good.
