Photos won't download

Post by MelaQuin »

Don't tell me I don't know how to do it having posted literally hundreds of photos on ausbonsai since I have been a member. The last week each time I try to I get the string of alpha/numeric in the site area and nothing else happens. Absolutely nothing. If I click at the end of the string and enter I even lose the website.

What's going on??

I just had trouble uploading a pic?
Click on the browse tab and the screen flickers then nothing???

I havew had some issues lately, there was trouble with a mcaffe update and it left many unable to conect to the internet. The fix was eventualy to uninstall and then reinstall mcaffe. Now my computer does not seem to be saving passwords and maybe cookies because I have to relog in all the time.
Not sure if that could have anything to do with this though??
It's too bad your in such a hurry cause the stories I could tell you, Bushels and baskets of stories, hole crates full of stories. But if you can spare a moment I will tell you one story.

Many years ago I was a Mac certified technician, but that was so long ago it was before they could connect to the internet :o :o  :palm:

Anyone else with a mac out there that can offer advice? I do not know anyone now that has one to test one :(

Only thing I can suggest is a Browser Reset. ( assuming you use Sarfari). Although make sure you know the usernames and passwords you use for all the websites you frequent as this will reset everything

Happened to me !!! Couldnt figure it out at first, i was compressing 2gig pics down to 500 kb with Gimp but aus bonsai would not accept them. Rather than telling me so all i got was a white screen. I then noticed that even though compressed the dimensions of the pic were still large 4000x3000, so i scaled down by half, Bobs your uncle it worked !!! However make no mistakes gang there are some funny things goin on with Aus Bonsai of late. The slowness and freezing is a real pain in the arse some days. Doesnt happen else where so dont think its my comp. :tu:

Same for me ant. My screen has a funny flicker going on as well. I have no idea with computers so I couldn't tell you the solution. I tried putting up a vert in velvets thread the other day about 3 times and gave up in the end.

Yeah it seems they can choose random people to pick on an annoy  :lost: ;) ;)

I will raise the recent performance issues with Steven and see if he can get the service provider to do some performance monitoring and logging. I have noticed the odd delay lately but as my local internet at home keeps dropping out i have just assumed it was my issue. While I am at work the internet access is just slow so no good meusing that as a jusdge:-(

Pages have been slow to load for me too. Happens erratically, some will, some won't. Some days, not others.

Many thanks to those who fund and maintain this site - I'm not whingeing, just giving some technical feedback.

Thanks for the feedback on the performance. We are looking into it and will try to do something about it.

In January of this year we moved (at considerable workload and cost) the forum to a new server located here in Australia. We researched options intensively and thought that we had made the right decision. Perhaps we didn't :lost:

If you can log specific details, times, problems etc then it will help us look into them and fix the performance.

Thanks for your patience in the mean time.

Regards,
Steven

Personaly My issue concerning this was a one off. Once I restarted the computer no more issue. But I am still having issues with pass words which is a multi site issue that I will next take yup with my virus programe supplier. Don't think it is related.
