Problems with site?
Is anybody else having major problems with accessing the site? Everysecond time I try to go to the Hoepage I get an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message, but then my homepage (Google) loads instantly.
Sorry if this is posted to the wrong area or if I should have pm'd someone.

No not just you..
I actually typed a reply as well and it was met with first a page error and ended in a lost response.
I also constantly have threads that don't load pictures..
I'm forever losing connection to the site with various error messages.
It's gotta be said with the utmost respect for those that run this site that the performance is sub par.
This is such a shame because it is a blemish on what is a great site, forum and community.

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Problems with site?
While it is great that we are now a dot au site to complete the aussie set, the problems have been ongoing & extensive since the forum shifted over... I am often reminded of the good old days with a 28K modem, get the page loading & go to the toilet, make a coffee, have a smoke & scratch, by the time thats done the page might have loaded or more likely lost connection...It's gotta be said with the utmost respect for those that run this site that the performance is sub par.

Google did not want to load the internet.

Yeah very slow for me too, I think I remember one of the mods or Steven mentioning a server upgrade or something.... Might still be that.
I copy all my posts before I click "submit". A habit i've picked up from using other forums lol can save a lot of frustration

Have a question? The AusBonsai Wiki most likely has the answer!

I always now take the precaution of saving the entire typed thread before I submit; just in case it fails to connect; especially if I am on mobile ADSL.

Re: Problems with site?
Please fix this SITE I have tried twice to put a post with text and pictures only to have it go of half wat through. It has not happened here yet.
The frustration is reaching critical levels
edit for comment, managed to get this posted, went and put an abreviated bump for our show got them, but only half the pictures show the others have a cross.
My avatar also as do quite a few here show with a cross is that a sign of our mood

Re: Problems with site?
Bare with us please. We are working on a permanent fix however it is not as simple as flicking a switch.
In the interim, if writing a long post do it in Word or as a Text Doc and copy it into the forum. If the site times out when submitting, use the refresh button, not the back button.
Regards,
Steven
