Problems with site?

We underestimated the RAM requirements of the new server which is the cause of the latest issues over the past couple of days.

Double the RAM has been purchased and will be installed tomorrow.

This should sort out the problem.

Re-installing Chrome doesn't sound like a good idea to me (with all due respect).

I've gone and deleted (all 9) of Ausbonsai's cookies from my browser settings.
Now I've started from scratch and with a quick peek around things may very well be better...
I'll keep my progress updated.

Might I also add that I too still receive many posts in which pictures don't show up and some won't even load when I click on the broken picture links.
I do however think the latter is due to the browser booting me from the site as this fault is often followed up by me having to log back in!

Just keep getting booted and having to login again all the time.

1. I can literally log in.
2. Open one thread.
3. Click on a photo
4. And my credentials have been lost.

Back to step #1.

So painfully frustrating..

* Using MBP Retina and Chrome as browser.

This is not NORMAL and i clearly buggy!!

My history today is on a Samsung S4 (which admittedly doesn't seem to lose connection).
However the MBP using chrome and Safari does...

I propose that you either fix this issue or disable the requirement to login to view pictures.
This issue absolutely ruins my experience...

I propose that in future you address me more politely or don't bother logging in again.

I have the same problem with my Mac Book Pro at home, but my work Laptop at home remembers my credentials.

Maybe a problem with Apples, but definitely not an AusBonsai issue.

what is MBP Retina? Never heard of it.

I log in to AB using multiple accounts on multiple machines with Different browsers, ( Windows, Linux, Iphone ( Tapatalk and Safari browser), Google lexus tablet ( browser), and have never had an issue with any of them.

what I do know is that if you have multiple tabs open in the same browser, they will periodically log out.
If I have only 1 tab open, then all is normal.

Rather than Delete just cookies. Reset your browser history completely. I do not use Chrome, but to do so in IE. "Tools, Internet options, Advanced, Reset". Delete everything and then restart.
In FF, "Options, Network, clear Cached Content and Oflline and user data" or just delete your Profile directory and create a new one.

Do not have a Mac so cannot conmment there.

Hmmm....

Thing is, there are a few things it could be, like third party apps, or even your virus protection.

I still beleive its something to do with your cookie settings though... try this (if you haven't already):

Click the Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
Select Settings.
Click Show advanced settings.
Check to see if 'Keep local data only until I quit my browser' is checked. This should be unchecked if you want it to remember you


Next it could be that you need to set this domain manually:

To control how cookies should be handled for a few specific sites or domains, click Manage exceptions. To add a rule in the Cookie and Site Data Exceptions dialog that appears, follow these steps:

Click the "Add a new exception pattern" field and enter the domain name for which you want to create an exception.
To create exceptions for an entire domain, insert [*.] before the domain name (e.g. [*.]google.com. This will match drive.google.com and calendar.google.com).
You can also specify an IP address, an IPv6 address, or a non-http URL.
Use the menu to choose whether the site can set cookies. If you select Clear on exit, its cookies are deleted every time you close your browser.

A bit uncalled for dont you think Steven. I understand your under a lot of pressure but man, this guy is getting frustrated too, i dont think washing you hands of it like that and pretty much telling him to take a hike is the way to go.

It's Chrome, get rid of it. Whenever anyone rings my business and says they are having a problem with my website it is almost always Chrome.
You don't need it as a toolbar at the top of your screen.All those bars just make your actual viewing area smaller. You can still use google anytime you want to search (just open a new tab and open the google webpage)
Delete it and see how you go. You can always re-install it later if it doesn't fix your problem and you cant live without it. Not that Chrome is some sort of life changing experience anyway!!
