AusBonsai's fresh new look
Happy 1000th member AusBonsai!
Congratulations to ttn for becoming AusBonsai's 1000th member. As a memento of this significant achievement we will be sending you a Pat Kennedy, AusBonsai 2009 Signature series pot. These limited release of only 20 Shohin pots are all hand crafted in the Mirkwood Pottery studios at the base of Kosciusko Mountains. Each pot has been made to the very high standards of Pat and are all individually signed and numbered 1 to 20. Please take a look at the samples below and PM me your choice of pot and address for shipping.
As a reward for all members and contributors who have helped make AusBonsai what it is today we have given our online community a fresh new look. Jeff (Gocny) has put a lot of time into coming up with the new branding and I'm sure you will agree that it looks pretty special.
The 6 bonsai showcased in the header are the feature trees from the first 12 months of AusBonsai and all are Australian natives. Details of each can be read here.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for supporting AusBonsai and helping it become a resource of great significance to Australian bonsaists.
Kind regards,
Steven

Re: AusBonsai's fresh new look
Well done Steven and Jeff.
We are all in your debt.
My trees have never looked as good as they do now and its because I am prompted to think bonsai by this group of people.
I dont have the free time to visit bonsai clubs and the ability to partake in a community like this has really motivated me to focus on my trees.
And I have learnt heaps.

Re: AusBonsai's fresh new look
i like the new logo.
as a graphic designer. i think the colour and the meaning are perfect.
just one thing. i think the "AUSTRALIAN BONSAI COMMUNITY" can be a little darker.
but it's very nice

Re: AusBonsai's fresh new look
I'm supprised there is only 1000 members. I thought bonsai was alot bigger in aus, i guess not. I notice not alot of young people get into it though, or stick with it. I only recently started growing at 21, and have got a few mates into it aswell. New logo is good, will have to pass on the web address to more people. You guys make stickers?
