[HOW TO] Embed YouTube videos in posts

G'day,

A new feature just added to our forum gives us the ability to embed YouTube videos into posts like this;



To do this simply follow these steps when posting a message;

Click on the 'YouTube' tab at the top of the test box and you will see this appear [youtube][/youtube] and your curser will be flashing between the brackets.

Now you just need to insert the Video ID of the YouTube video you want to add in between these brackets.
The Video ID is the #’s and letters after the =
For Example: In this video link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4tugdBdPDs the Video ID is: L4tugdBdPDs
To post this video just copy the Video ID then paste it between the brackets like this: [youtube]L4tugdBdPDs[/y0utube] and this is what you will see in your post;



Please try it out first in the TEST FORUM.

This is wonderfull, especally for someone like me.
Is it me or is there more tutorials happening lately? I'm not complaining.
I'm just thinking there should be a tutorial section.
Great clip BTW, I have not seen this one, gee doesn't he work fast.

What share button?? I'm on a phone if that makes any difference. (Not even a smart phone. Just an iPhone). I just had another look. The only options I have is, done, full screen, play/pause, skip forward or skip back. I spent over half an hour trying to work out how to post a link earlier, and gave up in frustration. And how do you copy and paste? I worked out how to copy, but not paste.

G'day Tim, it can be done from you iPhone but is difficult. Just press and hold to bring up the 'Paste' bubble.
Do you have access to a computer? If so wait until then and it will be way less frustrating.

My computer died recently, and an old iPhone is all I'm left with. I've only just started working again after 18months recovering from a serious accident, so a new computer won't be coming any time soon. I'll just persevere with the phone for now. It's all good. I'll work it out sooner or later.
