Hi Evan,

This sounds like such a cool and great opportunity to learn big things. As someone who is very close in age to you (i'm 21) just know that I am exceptionally envious of you and hope you share all things you learn with us at the AusBonsai community.

Keep us updated!

Went on an overnight trip to Kyushu to get some pots. There'll be another mega post tomorrow night, with only photos of trees, so prepare yourselves.

In regards to the picture of the trees in the blue sunshade cloth, with the quote
"I think I’ll let the pictures do the talking here."...that is a beautiful photo. Glorious colours. Just lovely!

I notice the next photo has some of those root stands which took the eye of Steven a while back. They are quite impressive. Evan, what are the root stands made out of?

I style Bonsai naturally, just as they would appear in the wild.

Good to see a light hearted approach to Bonsai.
Keep up the good work! Looking forward to the Bonsai Pot Pr0n.
One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Really enjoyed the read and still amazed at the ramification on some of the maple bonsai. The price for those quality put some of the prices we ask here to shame.
