Re: 2016 Bonsai Tour of Japan
Can highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about a trip to Japan. The trip is extremely well run, the group size is small and personal, the itinerary is just full of amazing bonsai and cultural sights, and Shuji is a great guy as well. If I could afford it two years in a row I'd go again

Not that I could afford it this hear but what is a good all inclusive figure to aim to save for joing one of these tours. (including rough costs on extras, excluding pots n tools purchases.)

Best to contact Shuji for up to date tour costs, he has info on suggested daily budget and costs of general things over there. The tour price itself is mostly all inclusive except for airfare, lunch, drinks, some attractions and whatever you want to buy whilst there. Looking at the details he provided for the trip earlier this year, he suggested 5000yen per day budget, you could have got by with less if you needed to.Rintar wrote:Not that I could afford it this hear but what is a good all inclusive figure to aim to save for joing one of these tours. tour package price + airfare + spending money(~70000yen) = your all inclusive price.
That was earlier this year, the exchange rate and tour price is probably different now so you really need to hit up Shuji, he's a friendly bloke, he'll be glad to help you.
You definitely wont go hungry - the inclusive dinners are one of the trip highlights! Quality Japanese restaurants every night - I was in food heaven!

The cost of the tour is $4950- which includes accommodation, transport, breakfast, dinner and guide. You will need an air ticket and money for lunch, drinks and shopping which I recommend ¥70000 (¥5000/day) for two weeks.

Sad that I won't be able to go, but I found this information useful:Shuji Yamazaki wrote:The cost of the tour is $4950- which includes accommodation, transport, breakfast, dinner and guide. Shuji
1 Australian Dollar equals
90.24 Japanese Yen
so 70,000 Yen is about $775.70AUD...
from Perth, economy is $575 return light to Narita ($1407 business class)...
Cheers
