lovin some of these especially that willowleaf :D :D . Im like you also after 10 years im preferring shohin to around 50 cm trees . I still have over a dozen large trees but love working shohin more . Also im getting into airlaying worthwhile material more these days to build decent shohin. Great work mate and your photography kicks ass :worship: :worship:

There are so many lovely shohin in this thread. Beautiful Steven.
The current competition has got me more interested in shohin. :)

I wonder if its a common progression from large bonsai to shohin bonsai. It is definitely a lot harder.
Though I'm still fascinated by large gums and large casuarina bonsai.

I'll second that, twisted trunk privet and quince are very nice. Hard to find Chojubai in Australia let alone an interesting little specimen like that!

I really enjoy some of the pot choices you have made with your trees here to Steven, there is certainly a great array of shohin pot styles and colours available and good to see them being used so well. I look forward to seeing these trees mature!

The black pine and crabapple on page 1 and the willow leaf on page 2 also are great trees. Do you have a photo of the shinpaku on the top of your display stand in the last photo?
