A large japanese maple that needs a heavy prune. The sacrifice branch has done its job and ill remove it in two parts as japanese maples can suffer die back when a significant branch is removed.

Re: More repotting
The branch is 4 years old and was a root graft. It has added significant mass to the trunk in that timeGranite wrote:How old is the sacrifice branch?

Hi Mathew , that is one heck of a sacrifice branch , I have a 391 stihl and an engine crane if you need assistance to remove it . I think I should wander over there and check this right out .

Well the last deciduous tree is done. Quite a large trident ive been building the last few years long way to go but the tree has potential.
Conifers in early September usually. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Some great work and plenty of fun to be had in there. Some nice ramification starting on the linden - any tips as I am struggling to get secondary branching on mine. Cheers

Regular fert over spring and summer .internode length can get too far apart if u dont keep the pruning up linden tree has beautiful new buds that open to a brilliant lime green leaf. Much underused species in my opinion. Dont let dry out and they hate hot wind.

Re: More repotting
The base on that last trident looks great potted up. Super robust but still entering the soil level in a very natural way.
Huge fan of your work (and your space to set it all out - your yard would count as a suburb here in inner Sydney...).
