Olive stump progression

Post by Hal »

This European Olive was purchased from Tim (A-Z Bonsai) 6 years ago after Tim made a trip to the foot hills of Adelaide. The bare stump would have weighed 50-60kg and I would imagine a back-aching day digging up a wild old olive of this size.. Judging from my other 60yo olive stump this one is much, much older...possibly 100 - 120yo I'm told. Anyway, after 6 years sitting in a training pot and a major carving work last winter I thought it's about time to move it to a new home.

Hi Matthew,

Yes, I needed a good back massage after repotting this monster. Hopefully, it will feel cosy in the new home for at least another 6 years. :fc:
