Hey guys,
I’m having trouble finding online suppliers of Cut Putty (the clay consistency variety) and Shiwan Figures (there has to be a better source than eBay. )
Any advice is appreciated.

You can get the tree sealer putty of the kaneshin website. eBay also has it from memory.

Have a look at Hong Kong Bonsai Pots on facebook for the Shiwan figurines.

Hey T M,
It's not going to help you in Brisbane but both Collector's Corner/GardenWorld and Bonsai Art have a regular supply of figurines....
Actually I thought I should edit this post ... I just looked up Shiwan Pottery http://www.ebay.com.au/cln/longford521a ... 4933652010 .... blimey, there's a whole other world than the $5 figurines that I buy.
Also, I have purchased a bunch of stuff from Kaneshin. A wonderful organisation to deal with.
Cheers
Mark

Here's something a little left field. At $5 a shot - these figurines don't look bad from a distance nor in the dark. Huh?!The Munt wrote:Thanks MJL,

I woke early this morning, coffee and camera in hand I took some shots of my young bonsai forests prior to daylight. The little folk were out ... (ok, that was a bit weird they a claymen after all.) Nonetheless - there's something about these photo's I like. This final photo is a bit too blurry but I'll add it anyway - after all, the little guy has walked a long way through the night - deserves a photo. As I say - something a bit different but related to the thread.

Growth hormone in Cut Paste...
Hey guys when searching online for cut putty, I noticed there are different types.
Apparently Azaleas and Pines need a growth hormone and the rest don't?
I'm just wondering how important this is? If I grab the Azalea / Pine one, will it work fine with everything else or is there a downside to the hormone for other plants?
Thanks in advance.
