I’m currently looking into signing up for Mirai Live. Can anyone that is a member let me know if they find it worthwhile? I’m considering Tier 2.benny350 wrote:Just came across this today and had to share.

I'm a Tier 2 member. I've found the material invaluable.
There's a lot of information and technique he conveys through his streams that I've never seen or heard anywhere else.
I find myself re-watching a lot of the fundamentals streams repeatedly.
More importantly, I think my bonsai technique and my bonsai have improved since joining. Particularly the way I handle wiring and root-work.

Re: Ryan Neil - Mirai Live Online Course and Free Streams
I'm a tier 2 member, have been pretty much since I made the original post. I'll watch 1 or 2 streams a week and I STILL have 8 or so left until I'm up to date.
As everyone else has said the information given and how its presented is top quality. Most streams are 2 hours, centered around a specific topic/technique/species with a new one each week.
Really considering upgrading to tier 3 for the additional content and access to the archived Q&A sessions. Well worth it in my opinion, I haven't found anything else that even comes close.

Yeah i've watched all his free videos multiple times and keep going back to them. Can't justify the cost of membership at this stage with other commitments but down the track i might.
Honestly once you've moved beyond keeping plants alive and are trying to improve your skills and knowledge there is no one better putting the information out like him.

tier 3 is definitely worth it not much more $ but a lot more content I just wish I didn't work on Wednesday so I could watch it live

Re: Ryan Neil - Mirai Live Online Course and Free Streams
The reason why I wasn’t considering tier 3 was because I’m always going to be working Wednesday’s. Is there much difference between the amount content available between tier 2 and 3?

Guys,
I have been a member for some 4 months - it is absolutely worth the investment - the explanations(if you can get over the constant references to ..."when I was in Japan".....), the detail work and especially the close up video work is quite superb

How well does the info contained translate to Aussie natives?
Is it still relevant?

Re: Ryan Neil - Mirai Live Online Course and Free Streams
I found a lot of his information to be relevant to aussie natives.
Not specifically of course, because they don't grow them up that way. But he explains the horticultural reasoning behind the application of different techniques and their timing. If you switch up the application of technique to meet the timing of aussie natives, the information definitely applies.
I guess it depends on how deep you want to go down the horticultural rabbit hole.

Agreed, i'm studying Horticulture in fact almost finished my course now and it's been interesting hearing the Horticultural knowledge while I've been studying. I don't hear anyone else giving such clear, in depth and well rounded knowledge on the horticultural side of bonsai.
