Great bulked up trunk and foliage there Anthony! Do you think it's a little too symmetrical though?

Cheers Mel and John

Maybe Mel, it started from a root cutting 3 and abit years ago, just a little fun piece with a funky design at the time,I have many figs all with all different designs, it is what I see at the time, know hard and fast rules for me.

Humble beginning, and I like to grow cats to...cheers Mel

It's an amazing result from 3 and a bit years ago, and yeah, they are fun. :) Agree with no hard and fast rules, so I'll shut up now, LOL!

Love me a Cattleya or two, do you grow any as accents? I've some unknown orchids I inherited that I've let grow into bonsai pots, but they've never flowered so have no idea what they are!

Thanks Mel, never shut up always ask always challenge, it is always great to get feed back.(you are quite refreshing to the site, great to see and hear) as for accents mind are all too big and., but quite ignorant about them at the same time. but they do intrigue me and when I retire in a few years will address that as many bonsai and work and life, like most people taking the bulk of our time which I love.....cheers

Thanks Anthony, appreciate it. I have so much to learn!

I'm getting too old to take much new info in, cos old info has to move out first...but it's a good challenge for me to keep trying. :)

That's pretty Anthony!

The ones I have are mostly yellow/greens...one always flowered for my daughter's birthday in early March, but in the last 5 years it's slowly changed to flowering earlier and earlier. I guess that's telling me something!

Merry Christmas to you all!

We've finally gotten our summer here, after a very mild November and early December.... had to happen I guess.

Will share when I get a flower or two.

Cheers

Well with a root prune needed and removal of winter spent leaves, I decided on a new direction with a little more edge to it and with new leaf flush just about to break through will come a mild cut back to tighten growth....cheers

Very very glad you approve, you made me do it Mel, that is the nicest way I have been told your tree has a glaring design problem with your statement LOL, don t worry you let me down gently.I would constantly stare at that tree after that when watering and trying to get past it to get to the other trees, then checking Leong s book to see if any thing similar in design works.....haha,..power to you Mel, you are my new tree inspiration,....no pressure

wow thats a lot of staring :? :D
