Re: Amazing pots
In post #19 when I win the lotto and can travel - one option only slight lessor probability than the other - I’ll come and get the two flat pots please - the top two photos - 9f and 8c.

Re: Amazing pots
Great pots but I would struggle to put a tree in them.

Re: Amazing pots
It must be understood that some of these pots have become “Collectable” in their own right and have never been used and probably never will be.

Re: Amazing pots
Loving this thread mate (and loving the 9 tailed Fox pot). Keep the photos coming.
Did anyone see the video Bjorn posted the other day via his Eisei-en Bonsai page of the pots Naoki Maeoka is making? Not bad at all, especially considering he's known for his trees not his pots. The YouTube link is attached.

Re: Amazing pots
Thanks for the YouTube link, Naoki Maeoka is doing great work.
I knew from my language study that Maeoka meant “ in front of mountain “ and he told me his first name meant “ upright tree”; so both he and his father were aware of the irony that he works on bent small trees in backyard rather than upright trees in front of mountain.

Re: Amazing pots
Yep, I am building up quite an ‘imagined’ collection - I’d have the last pot and show it upside down just to people could see the lovely bird insignia.
