Seiju Elm
Seiju elm. A variety of Chinese elm. This tree was grown from a cutting in 1982 and commenced training in 1997. The artist writes: “The material lent itself to a natural and elegant informal style with no heavy work needed. The main branches were wired to shape, and now only trimming of foliage is needed.” The artist achieved a bonsai which is entirely evocative of a natural, full grown tree.
