Trident Maple Group
Trident maple. The trees for this group planting were individually grown from cuttings by the artist, over a period of 13 years. Different rates of growth resulted in trees of different sizes, which is essential to obtain a natural look in a bonsai group. The trees were assembled in 1998 and trained as a group from then on. The West Australian artist is a keen advocate of Japanese bonsai values and methods, and a highly experienced demonstrator.
