Juniper Squamata Prostrata Penjing
Juniper squamata prostrata. Penjing is the Chinese art of miniature landscapes with an emphasis on the rock rather than the trees. In this setting you see use of rock, trees and figurines to give the feeling of a natural, living landscape that includes the influence of humankind. This group was assembled in 2000, under the guidance of well known Chinese master Penjing exponent and author Hu Yunhua. It uses imported Chinese “reed-pipe” rock and junipers. It is displayed on a traditional Chinese marble tray. The foliage is intended to look like clouds surrounding the limestone peaks seen in parts of southern China.
Artist: Syd Green.

My interpretation of this display would be a, "True reflection of nature in the wild, with the simplistic imagery."
