Howdy everyone,
Well lockdown 6 here in Melbourne and perhaps I’m going stir crazy but I’ve decided to sell my young pines. A few years back I was going to get right into pines but alas, I don’t have the want now.
I have 17 pots of pines… purchased from Ryceman3 in 2018 - so 2017 seedlings.
Obviously we need to wait for Melbourne’s current lockdown to end but there are red and black pine, Scots Pine and Australian Black Pine (pinus nigra).
The pots have been well tended - the roots have been well maintained too - last repotted in July 2020 with the intent to leave them in these larger pots for three years - so no repotting needed for another years but pots can be grown on ground lift and trimmed if desired. That was my intent.
Full transparency- I had beautiful labels which have faded in the sun!!!! Many are still labelled but from memory, there was 4-5 red pine and 5 black pine the remainder scots and nigra. 3 of the pots are multi-tree plantings because of my love of groups.
On two pots I purposely left wire on and those trunks are double the size of the others but obviously scarred until the bark grows over. (Photos of those two below)
So - my desire is to sell the lot - if I sell separately they will be $30-$35
or a total of $510+ but I do not want to sell single pots to multiple buyers in the current environment - so I am prepared to sell the lot for $350. It’s a pretty fair price, I reckon.
If no offers - no drama - I’ll move them via club sales in future. Here are some photos showing there current growing situation.
Private massage me if interested or before I change my mind… which I reserve the right to do! And again,
sorry - no single pot sales at this time.
Cheers.

Hi Nozila,
Thanks for your question.
See private message, I think they would be too difficult to post so pick up preferred or potentially I could drop off preferred.
Cheers,
Mark

Just in case it matters… which I don’t think it does, they were all grown from seed sown in July 2018.
Good luck with the sale MJL

"Private massage me"?!?! I think lockdown's getting to you, Mark! And fair enough, we seemed to have It under control, then Whammo! lockdowns all down the east coast.
(Have you thought of making them into a forest? Just askin'.)
Look after yourself,
Gavin

Hey Gavin,
…”private massage” oops!! That made me laugh - a lot!! I need that at present!! So thanks.
As you’re aware - I have other forests and groups on the go - so I’ll pass on making these such but the buyer here will get a few pots of starter groups too, as noted.
As it happens - I can’t (or won’t) change my mind now - the whole (Lot) is sold subject to one person (first in) organising pick-up and another two in queue should that fall through. All good wherever they end up it will be a good home.
I’ll close out thread with an update when all confirmed.
Cheers,
Mark
