Hi Daluke, Im interested in the Rhododendron (if any still available) but Im not certain about them as a bonsai for a (relatively speaking) beginner. What do you think?

I know the initial cost isnt that much so if I kill it quick it isnt the end of the world of course!
Also would love a picture of the mother plant if you have it?

I’m led to believe that the Rhododendron Impeditum is the smallest of the species. The tree they were propagated from was from nursery material.

I’ve gotten to a point where I am mostly dissatisfied with what is available for purchase. Most species/styles are just typical so I’ve been looking high and low for unique and hard to find species.eventually I’m hoping to grow more in atypical naturalistic styles.

If you send a pm with your email I’m happy to send images / take conversation offline.
