[SOLD] Japanese Pots

Post by Ryceman3 »

Still clearing out some space at my place and so with that in mind I am going to offer up some pots that I have been "safe keeping" as they are really just too big for the kind of trees I grow now, and in the foreseeable future. Great pots ... just too big for me to use with my trees.

First pot up is Japanese (and has a chop) but my investigation into the exact maker hasn't given me a direct match. Unglazed with a central belt/cord, soft corners in a rectangular shape and in good proportion. Nice even colour, it's a decent pot.
Dimensions are : 300mm x 240mm x 90mm (outer)
Good colour with nothing in terms of chips/scratches or significant blemishes.
$200

Next up is another unglazed pot. This one is Izumi-Ya, flared rectangle with belt
around lower rim and stepped feet. A nice sized pot from a prevalent tokoname artist with beautiful proportions.
Dimensions are : 370mm x 280mm x 88mm (outer)
Nice "matte" finish, a few blemishes/marks from being exposed to "life" but no chips or deep scratches affecting the profile. It was originally sold to me as "used", but I am not convinced it has ever had a tree in it. Good sized pot.
$350.00

A couple more to come, but that's it for now.
Pick up in Melbourne is available, but I will deliver at cost (and prefer registered mail) if not. Will quote on cost if requested.

Here's another one.
This is also tokoname, an unglazed pot by Keizan Hisada.
In pristine condition, a simple rectangle with softened corners and a stepped foot.
Probably my favourite in terms of colour and style (but that is clearly subjective).
Dimensions are : 340mm x 270mm x 90mm
$325

Last one I’ll bother with for now.
Another unglazed Izumi-Ya tokoname pot. This one with distinctive clay colour and a bold design incorporating more ornamental cloud feet.
For the most part intact, with some small chips as shown in the pics below and priced accordingly with that in mind.
Very nicely detailed corners to match (again, see pics)
Dimensions : 340mm x 240mm x 123mm
$190
