Hello all.
A single flower the past days inspired me to list a few pictures of this one's history.
As per most of my tree's it's only shohin size around 15cm high I reckon.
It was purchased from Tien at Bonsai Sensation who was most helpful and it was very reasonably priced.
The stages have been (including photo dates).
1. Purchase (March 2014)
2. Select new front trim wire and style (April 2014)
3. Repot into the black slim pot (unfortunately the tree deteriorated a little (likely too shallow)). (Feb 2016)
4. Repot into the deeper blue pot (Today).
I reckon this is a fantastic species to Bonsai and if happy and healthy it continues to backbud and throw options.
However the best thing about them is I truly believe Gardenia's to be the most beautiful perfumed of all flowers which my family have enjoyed the past days.
When I can be bothered it needs a trim and re-wire!
Thanks for looking!

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Hello Boics,
That trunk on your tree is a beautie.
I agree on the Gardenia flower aroma.
The flowers also remind me of the flowers made for cakes.
