Crumbs ... oh, for the land ... people should be heading Alpine’s way for the forest competition. A fair tip, I reckon. Would seem, like with Shibui, there’s stock to sell...

Hi Kirky 2 trailer loads to the tip is enough for 1 bloke , had to had onto some rubbish even if it dies .A slab around 1200mm long custom made would make this an impressive long forest .I might not be able to create one personally but you never know .I have the material but is the body willing .

Cheers .Alpine

This is a grow bed for Shohin trunks , a few ringins oversize but most are under 250mm .

Here is a couple of the chop top trunks collected years ago ,progressing in the right direction

DSCN3057.JPG
the first trunk has a 100mm base the second has a 200mm base , I'm keen to see the Narebri when its uncovered for a re-pot . This forest group will be stretched out onto a custom made tray ,

not looking at poly marble due to the weight but have some fiberglass reinforced cement sheet purchased for another job that will be used possibly a weight saving of around 50% over the marble trays . I took some time sculting the canopies on this one over the growing season might just add a big of character with a rock or two or maybe a couple of taller tree's .

Hi watto , not a real good show for Autumn here , very few reds around this year . A bit of a snow flurry here yesterday so winter is very close

Just been out and about and the colours out there are rather spectacular as are the views from the yard . Very surprised how much is still growing here considering the cold ground and air temps .

Some of the grow bed stock is yellowing and dropping leaves from the bottom of the trunks and the tops are growing on like its spring .

HI Matthew , cool and damp here , set for low temps from here on so I think the colurs are gone .

Its a strange season with some trunks having lost their leave while a few meters away they are green . It looks like we are heading into a cold winter very early
I had better sharpen a few tools up , family are planning visit so I will set the fit and healthy to work .Be good to clean a few jobs up around here .

This was root pruned , trimmed and re-potted a few days ago ,

Yesterday a lady walked in the gate and purchased it of the shelf so this is the last pic from me on this group .

I'm sure the new owner will take good care of it , this too remains in the area so I will be seeing it around for quite some time .

Cheers . Ian

With the health declining I have been fortunate enough to sell of over 30% of the collection in the last 12 months on Gumtree and members of the Albury Wodonga Bonsai club from which i had to retire from .Over 300 plus trunks and give away's to the lucky buyers has made an impact and lessened the burden ..
Here is a few of the alpineart Tridents now residing in Melbourne along with the group above and numerous plaited trunks . The dogs ball is a 100mm to give an idea of the size of the material

The big fused trunk is still in my limited care but i'm clearing everything slowly but surely .

All the best and a merry Christmas to all here on Ausbonsai

I'm glad you're managing to get some sort of control over the amount of trees you're caring for Ian. I still have one of the ones I bought from you back in 2017. The other was sold to a local here, and he loves it.

HI Mel , glad to here your tree is doing well . No tree's will be manageable from my prospective , cant wire them and trimming is a little difficult .

Ruptured another disc in my lower back last week so that's it for me as far as any type of gardening goes . Not laid up but almost house bound or yard bound

Hi Neil , hope all is well over your neck of the woods . The young bloke is taking an interest in the tree's again or it might be their value that his keen on .

All the best for the new year .Cheers Ian

Sorry to hear you've ruptured another disk Ian, and that you're not managing as we'd hoped. Good to know the young fella is taking some interest though.

HOpe you have a restful xmas and that you're on the road to recovery soon.
