alpineart wrote:Hi Neli , don't you just love it when a plan comes together , even if it take a couple of goes to succeed . It needs a re-wire using heavy gauge copper on 2 of the straighter trunks however they are getting a bit thick to get the movement I desire . Can only but try , but I can't afford to break them as I don't have any replacement .

It is always good to have a good plan in place, and it is obvious you did have one.
I ask lots of questions that sound like suggestions. Please remember I am a inquisitive newbie trying to figure out why You made a particular decision, in order to learn.

Hi Brian , its just starting to come alive in itself after all the trouble I went through its been a valuable lesson .

Hi Neli , without a plan things can turn pear shaped pretty quick . A backup plan is also a good idea , not that I need them in most cases but there are always extra's and alternatives .

While re-potting this has had the job done as well i removed the wire and began adding the soil

. Lay me down and do it again is the only way to add more potting mix to the rock
P1100889.JPG
. A different type of moss has been used this year placed over the soil upside down so the mychorizea doesn't repel the water its only used as a barrier to hold the soil in .The moss used last year was a bugger to wet behind thus not a great deal of growth occurred to the plants however the spores did spread all over the rock , they are just beginning to green up like the lawn .

.all done , now back to the grindstone .

it was an all day job that took longer than anticipated . Its a bugger getting old and decrepit but If I don't do it , it wont get done . No pain no gain or is that plenty of pain for very little gain .

Hi MJL , mate my wife thinks so . I have never been interested in the "Lemming Syndrome".If I listened to the so called experts years ago I would be wheel chair bound or dead .

Hi Greg , mate a lot of thought and effort has gone into this one . It would look better on someone else's bench save me looking after it .

Cheers . Alpine.
