olive tree

i was stuck with this olive tree it's 23 cm high and ive had it over a year every time i looked at it i just couldent quiet make out wot to do with the 3 branches i had left and tonight i had realized TAPER so i got out my hacksaw and went to it. i will give it another year and see how it goes :.)

thanks MelaQuin for teaching me the aim of tapering :.)

as olives throw of branches every second week i will be molding this tree so see how i go

Definite improvement. Once it starts seriously shooting you will have great fun selecting the branching and develolping this tree. Great character.

MQ has said it all really. I would just add that you might like to consider potting it up into something larger for the next year or 2 while you develop the branches.

i went out today and gathered up some loverly olives with miniture leaves. I have 6 blue barrles to cut down into training pots so all up i can make 12 decent size pots to train the olives i have. I dont think i have any tubs fome boxes left to add anything to :.) so i will have a busy week. one stump i have needed the good old chainsaw, i was amazed at learning how well an olive tree takes to having a chain saw attack. im sure a few ppl have seen this site but i need to share it with those that dont know it , i was in total aw and loved the reading http://www.dugzbonsai.com/olivehead1.htm
