Yep, pretty much paradise as far as I am concerned.
Quite magnificent - your garden and your collection.
We are lucky for the insight because many private collections are just that - private and for good reason too.
Cheers Matthew - much appreciated. Surely one of the peak collections going around.

Re: Some of my trees and setup
Thankyou , I have been to many private collections over the years , a lot from people not in the main stream bonsai circulation and many others that have a far larger and more advanced collection then mine , many just choice to keep there collections known within a small group of people for various reasons . There are some truly fantastic collections on the south coast of Sydney that you rarely hear about . I don't mind sharing my collection, its downsized somewhat the last several years and more time should be spent but I have other interests as well.MJL wrote: ↑May 20th, 2020, 2:06 pm Yep, pretty much paradise as far as I am concerned.

Matthew, all i can say is WOW! if i could swear put something in front of .... awesome!
To a new person like me it is something to aspire to looking at the collection you have. in awe at it and could only wish for them sitting in my yard. i can't forget that when i talk about my sticks in pots i can visualise your beauty and try to attain it with patience and dedication. Off to read some more
Thanks so much for that little bit of Bonsai Heaven.
Cheers Paul

Re: Some of my trees and setup
A bit of jealousy always creeps in..I dont usually post on this site.. but why not.. GREAT
collection..There are ALOT of great hidden collections out there that never get shown for obvious reasons.it is a real shame and good on you for having toe balls to show it... and even a few trees Id love to get my hands on .. hahah wish I could display mine half as well. but not possible in a rental !
I always look at my collection and never feel satisfied with its progress or what I have in there. I always get a little bored looking at the same trees... and I really hat spending $ on trees unless I have sold a few to afford a new one so I am net zero.
I think I just need more trees in refinement stages to feel satisfied.. after I lost my collection 10 years ago.. starting from scratch 5 years ago has been a hard SLOG! (also delayed by these last 2 years) but have to keep moving forward and I feel I have achieved ALOT in the last few years.
