trident maple group planting

I was had a heap of trident maple seeds given to me about 4 or 5 years ago.
I planted them in a seedling tray randomly scattered. I took some out individually, some as twin trunks and some as triple trunks. Then with the left over bunch of seedlings I let grow randomly for a year or two.
I then planted them in to a foam box and left them for another 2 or 3 years pretty much neglecting then besides water.
I recently saw Shibui's post about seedlings for sale and decided to purchase some for a group planting. They arrived the next day and I decided to use the randomly scattered seedlings in the foam box and then add to it.
It was quite a task as the roots had grown through the foam box and in to the ground through the pavers.
Then being they had been in the foam box for so long the roots were very dense. I had to use a combination of a saw, root hook, scissors and shovel to remove approx 2/3s of the roots.
I then soaked them in seasol and placed in a large bonsai pot along with the seedlings from shibui.
I plan on reducing the height of the older trees and maybe removing a few of them too to create more space.
I will try and get a better photo of the "finished" product over the coming days.

Looks like a really good start, but I think it won't be very long before you have to thin them out a bit. All the roots will fill that pot very quickly and then the water won't penetrate properly, so take care not to under-water them.
