I came across this tree while perusing the yahoo7 website.
One of the most perfect natural formations of bonsai, if one could reproduce the exact replica.
WOW, WOW.

Where do I get one?
Anybody have any information please.
Thank you in advance.

My grey hair is my solar panel, as with the leaf on the bonsai is theirs.

Socotra Island, Yemen
Located in the Arabian Sea, over 350km from the mainland, Socotra has evolved species that aren’t found anywhere else, such as the red-sapped dragon’s blood tree.
Hi Rae I think your link says it all interesting though

Hi Ryan,
Unfortunately Yes.
Shame though, I thought I might have fluked something by chance.
Found a couple of overseas with the occasional seed and seedlings.
How awesome though.
Question : Has anyone tried Dracaena Draco for bonsai with reducing the leave size or is this not able to be done.
I haven't seen any photos or even close as a bonsai. Possible ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Cheers

I have two in the ground.
They are very slow growing so I do not expect them to have bonsai potential anytime soon.

hard1all,
So jealous, any chance of photo.
What is the prognosis of time expected for bonsai development. I noticed you said that they are slow growing, in comparison to which trees?

If you can't find that species what about some of its relatives - The national arboretum in Canberra includes a forest of Dracena draco. Is that close enough? I have seen pics of a couple of old plants of D. draco in South Australia so that species must be available in Aust.

Thank you shibui, Looks like the way I will have to go.
Looks extremely similar and I believe that the Draco grows slow as well.
awesome tree.
Would you know anything about leaf reduction in the Dracaena species, can it be done?

It is a great tree.
There are some stunning examples in Sydney's Botanic Gardens.
