Bonsai inspirations from recent trip
My wife and I recently spent 6 weeks travelling through Canada, the Pacific North West of USA and California. I've attached a few of the several hundred photos I took of trees: Individual trees, groves of trees and trees in the landscape. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do and I'll post a few more if people would like me to.
My favorite tree of the entire trip: the venerable Sugar Pine.
California Pt 1

One of the fabulous things about growing bonsai is as you get old and decrepit your trees get old and beautiful

Re: Bonsai inspirations from recent trip
Hi ToddB , Mate there is some magnificent inspiration in those pics . I have collected a few Redwoods and Douglas Firs from up here . Not quite as big as those Monsters ,but the stands here where very impressive for 100 year old tree's . I think it would be easier to build a pot or tray around them and call them Super size Mountain Bonsai .
Thanks for sharing your pics .
